Mission Statement
To improve the lives of children, adolescents, and young adults facing complex challenges through compassionate and research-informed assessment, therapy, and consultation. Dr. Rapkoch is committed to providing objective, balanced, and respectful services based on an appreciation for the individual diversity, experiences, and strengths of each client and the many systems in which he or she is currently operating.
Values
Dr. Rapkoch has a great appreciation for the individuality, integrity, and strengths that each client possesses prior to arriving for services. No matter how great the challenges he or she has faced, each individual has personal strengths and resources that enrich his or her life and that will be instrumental in resolving or reducing the effects of stressors and barriers. Dr. Rapkoch seeks to provide support in identifying those areas of strength as well as identifying strategies for improving on areas of challenge through the use of collaboration, open communication, and humor.
Dr. Rapkoch specializes in assessing the following concerns:
- Mood and anxiety disorders
- Behavior disorders
- Interpersonal trauma (e.g. domestic violence, physical abuse, neglect, domestic violence, sexual assault)
- Factors affecting learning (e.g. Learning disabilities, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder)
- Developmental disabilities
